Four Seasons

Our Staycation Above the Clouds... The Four Seasons in Philadelphia just hits different. When I say that all of my dreams came true during our stay, i’m not exaggerating! From the moment we pulled up to the valet, we knew we were in for an amazing weekend. The Four Seasons has this uncanny way of making you feel like you’re the most important person in the room. Their app allows you to message directly with the staff, making any question or need instantly granted. After we got our temperatures taken via their body scan system (what!) and checked in with their amazing front desk team, we were escorted to the elevator and headed to our room to settle in before our dinner reservation at the JG SkyHigh restaurant. First impressions of our “city scape suite”: FLAWLESS. If I could live in one hotel room for the rest of my days, this would be it. The view in and of it self is stunning. Add the rest and you’re just in heaven. I’m all about a cozy hotel bathrobe & slippers, and if we didn’t have dinner reservations, I would’ve lounged in them as soon as we walked into the room! I don’t know if i’ve ever described a bathroom as sexy and sleek, but I will for this room. After taking in our incredible views and checking out the amenities the room had to offer, we headed down for our dinner. JG SkyHigh was equally aesthetically gorgeous as it was delicious. If you’re a fan of symmetry and mirror design, you absolutely have to dine here. Eating out during the pandemic can feel scary and unsettling, but our waitress made us feel so safe, comfortable and welcomed. Their lychee raspberry bellini and ginger margarita were superb. Fun cocktails are my favorite! To start, we enjoyed the yellowfin tuna tartare, heirloom tomatoes, and wagyu cheese steak spring roll. For our main dish we chose the corn and shrimp risotto and snake river farms wagyu beef filet. Their chocolate layer cake with homemade marshmallow frosting was the icing on the cake (literally). Everything tasted so amazing, we want to go back ASAP to try more from their menu! After dinner, I soaked in a dreamy bubble bath while Josh edited his sunset timelapse, which you can check out **here**! The Phillies were playing so we enjoyed some pub style pretzels and beer, before settling in for a movie night. Our caramel popcorn and homemade macarons were the perfect movie snack! My favorite part of our stay was waking up to watch sunrise and relax by their infinity-edge 57th floor pool. This isn’t just any indoor pool. With floor to celing grand windows that reflect and fill the room with warm light, while you overlook the city from 3 sides, it was pretty magical. I would stay there just for that pool. By the way: it’s heated. After our sunrise swim (again, what?!) we sat down to the best breakfast i’ve had in a long time... their spinach eggs benny and brioche french toast are something to be rivaled with. Have you ever tasted a maca-cacao energy shake? You can if you have breakfast at JG SkyHigh. It has cinnamon in it and it’s fantastic. Like I would drink it every day if I could. With full bellies we decided it was only natural to go back to the room for: a pillow fight. We donned our cozy Four Seasons robes and decided that this was the perfect way to end our weekend. I haven’t had a pillow fight since I was a little kid, but I totally crushed it. Leaving FSP was sad, yet amazing because the valet not only brought us our car but a to-go snack box, full of chocolate chip cookies, little crispy chip delights, nitro cold brews, and a crushed pretzel chocolate bar. Swoon. I left thinking to myself, I love this place. Every detail was thought out and had the guests’ safety in mind. It was truly a staycation i’ll never forget. Sent from my iPhone
